The Dragoon job is commonly found in several role-playing games aside from the Final Fantasy series. In history, a Dragoon is a mounted infantryman armed with Carbine (a lightweight and short rifle). This European military class are famous during the 17th to 19th century. Even in this modern day, there are still cavalry regiments in the military that are called with this name.
