Trivia:
In several Castlevania games, a weapon's ultimate ability can be unlocked by performing the Critical Strike. In Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, Jonathan can unleash his current weapon's special ability by pressing 'Forward, Forward and Attack' buttons. Most weapons have similar special abilities especially those that belong to the same category, but there are some weapons which have unique attacks. Critical Strike works the same way as the Item Crush in several Castlevania titles except that it only works on weapons.
