Trivia:
With the Chronicle of Resonant Horror embedded on his body, Macoute was turned from a windbag into a mindless person. It may have something to do with the Chronicle which was found in the "twisted" place of Rarohenga. Dirk experienced the same thing when he saw Cougar in a vision triggered by the Chronicle of the Furious Roar. It's the very reason why he defected against the Order and managed to save his friends.
