Trivia:
The name 'Dracula' was popularized by Bram Stoker, a 19th century Irish novelist who wrote the book that bears the same title. Although, he has been a favorite fictional character on countless literary works, movies and theatrical plays, his name does have a significant historical reference. Historians agreed that the name was attributed to Vlad III of Wallachia in Romania who is also called by his patronymic Dracula. It was historically believed that he killed 40,000 to 100,000 people who were comprised of political rivals, criminals, prisoners of war, insurrectionist and even civilians whom he considered useless in society by impaling them on poles. Thus, he is infamously called by his epithet as 'Vlad the Impaler.'
