Castlevania Portrait of Ruin
Amphisbaena
Trivia:
Amphisbaena is a two-headed beast whose name means 'able to move in both directions' or 'to go both ways.' According to Greek Mythology, Amphisbaena arose from the blood dripped from the beheaded Gorgon, Medusa. When Perseus flew over the Libyan Desert while holding the head, the blood spawn a double-headed serpent that marched together with other serpents. In other legends, it is depicted as ant-eating serpent with heads on each ends and goes by its epithet as the 'Mother of Ants.' It also called Diplocephalus in Castlevania Symphony of the Night.
