Trivia:
It was believed that vampires are revenants of restless souls that feed on blood of mortals. The notion of their existence has been recorded for millenia, since ancient civilizations and cultures such as the Mesopotamians, Hebrews, Greeks and Romans had folklore of demons and creatures that predates the modern depiction of vampires. However, vampire legends was never been mentioned until 18th century in southeastern Europe. This is when the oral traditions of ethnic groups living in those regions has just been recorded. Also, it was the dawn of time when poets and novelist like Bram Stoker, Heinrich August Ossenfelder, Sheridan Le Fanu and Lord Byron began to write their own versions of several vampire legends. The vampire adaptation in Castlevania titles and many other games, movies and books are no less than the same than that of the original depiction of their counterparts in folklore.
