Vampires are known to be mortals once but gained dark powers by either selling their souls to demons or being bitten by another vampire. Count Dracula himself is the most powerful of all vampires but he is constantly beaten by his enemies due to the lack of time to recover his full power. They are depicted to possess supernatural powers such as teleportation, shapeshifting, conjure magic spells and hve heightened senses, especially during night. Some of Castlevania's famous vampires includes the half-human Alucard, Count Olrox, Brauner, Camilla, Walter Bernhard and Dracula's niece, Elizabeth Bartley.
