Hallec

Suikoden III

Suikoden 3: Hallec
Hallec

Trivia:
A barbarian of great stature and wields two huge double axes with ease, as if they are not heavy at all. Despite his rowdy exterior and roughhouse built, Hallec is a gentle person and never lies on anyone. His appearance is a bit intimidating with the bear skin on his head, but people seems to like his friendly and gallant personality. On top of that, his skill with the battle axe is superb and his war cries greatly terrifies his foes. He came from a village in the north and traveled all the way south to find the Flame Champion.

The Flame Champion once quenched a tribal dispute that involves Hallec's village in the past. This was greatly appreciated by the villagers. As time passed by, a deadly plague struck the village that led Hallec to seek the Flame Champion's aid once again. He met Mua along the way and agreed to tag along with him to accomplish his quest. However, upon arriving at the Grassland, little did they know that the Flame Champion that they were looking for was already long gone. Instead, they've stumbled on his successor, the young Karayan boy Hugo.

While at Budehuc Castle, Hallec became fond of the griffon, Fubar. They spent their time together practicing a war cry that damages enemies within their range. The "Silver Maiden" of the St. Loa Knights, Alanis, became their fan and would love to imitate them. Hallec eventually taught her how to unleash a war cry but she still so young to reach her full potential.

The people in Hallec's village has a strange custom which is evident in the way Hallec referred to anyone who is shorter than him. He called them 'son,' which is not limited to people who are younger than him but also to those older ones like Piccolo and Martha. After his training he used to eat a lot of food, while in his spare time, he would love to go to Goro's bathhouse to relax.

After the Second Fire Bringer War, Hallec returned to his village with Tuta and some others. They successfully cured many villagers who were infected by the deadly plague that struck the village.
