1) What do I need to get the attention of Sigfried?
There are two prerequisites needed in order to make Sigfried appear in the forest behind Kobold Village. First, recruit Badeaux who will give Riou two Listening Crystals or Runes of Mindfulness. Second, there must be a young lady in the party to whom Sigfried will bethroth himself.
2) I do have the Listening Crystal or Rune of Mindfulness and a lady in the party, but why Sigfried didn't appear as he should be?
Remember to bring a maiden and not those who are too old to qualify. For example, Eilie is considered as a maiden but not her older sister Rina. Other female characters who are not maidens are Valeria, Anita, Lorelai, Lo Wen, Hanna, Oulan and Yoshino.
3) What happens when I bring along two or more maidens in the party?
It still works, but not all characters will show themselves and talk to Sigfried. Actually, it's advisable to bring two or more female members. So just in case the other won't work there is another one who will.
4) I brought Sierra along and Sigfried appeared as expected, but why he didn't joined the Allied Army?
Yes, Sigfried will show himself but he realized that Sierra is not a maiden at all. She do looks like a maiden but she's actually more than 800 years old. That's why people who knew her used to call her "old hag" or "old crone."
Tips and Tricks:
1) If you're not quite sure who are considered as maidens and not, then bring two or more females when recruiting Sigfried.
2) Just for fun, try to bring Sierra along the party to see a hidden scene.
3) Did you know that the female flying squirrel is also considered by Sigfried as a maiden worthy of his betrothal? Try to bring Mikumiku when recruiting Sigfried and see it for yourself.

Fun Facts:
1) Did you know that Sigfried is one of the oldest member in the Allied Army? He is 170 years old when the war broke out.
2) Sigfried is one of those optional characters in whose place at the Stone Tablet of Promise can be replaced by others. Feather or Abizboah can take his place and vice-versa, it all depends on the player's choice.
3) Monsters like Sigfried can't equip armors and accessories, that is why they have higher stats compared to Humans, Elves, Kobolds and Wingers.

Riou:
A: "Say yes."
B: "Just say no."
3) Say yes.
Sigfried: "Very well... By my ancient oath as a member of the White Circle... I lend my power to you thru the vessel of this holy maiden....."
"My power.......... I grant it to you......."
Sigfried joined the Allied Army.
4) Character is confounded with what just transpired.
5) Just say no.

Sigfried: "In that case, I will return to the shadows of the forest......"
