1) Is there a way to get Valeria and Kasumi at the same time?
Yes, there is indeed a way to get both women in the Allied Army. However, it is impossible to do so without using Gameshark codes.
2) I tried to bring Viktor and Flik in Lakewest to recruit Hix and Tengaar, but the special scene won't trigger. What went wrong? Did I missed something?
Yes, you did missed the prerequisite. There is only one reason why they won't join the conversation when recruiting Hix and Tengaar and that's because you did not load a cleared file from Suikoden 1.
3) I do have a file from Suikoden 1, how do I load it?
You really need to begin from the very start to load the Suikoden 1 file. Nevertheless, there is another way to do this. By using Gameshark codes you can trigger a loaded file from Suikoden 1 which will not require you to start all over again. This trick will not only save you time from restarting, but also give you an instant cleared file even without playing Suikoden 1.
4) How do I get to see Flik and Nina's conversations at the Dunan Castle's rooftop?
The whole conversation will only trigger during nighttime at the castle's rooftoop. The sole requirement for these scenes to appear is by upgrading the castle until you can access the rooftop. Remember, the only way for the castle to be upgraded is by recruiting Stars of Destiny and non-star characters. The more recruits added the better the castle becomes.
5) Why did Sigfried refused to join the Allied Army when you try to recruit him with Sierra?
Sigfried will only betroth himself to maidens and not to an old hag like the coven mistress of the Blue Moon Village. Truly, behind Sierra's young looks belies her genuine age. Although she looks like a teenage girl, yet Sierra is more or less 800 years old. Now, that is more than 600 years older than Sigfried himself!
Tips and Tricks:
1) To get Viktor and Flik's special scenes when recruiting Hix and Tengaar you must start the game with a loaded cleared file from Suikoden 1.
2) There are moments in the whole course of the game when Riou has the opportunity to explore some areas at the castle when nighttime. It is during those moments when you can find some cool events worth watching for.
3) Don't recruit Anita in Muse in order to get her special scene with Valeria in Banner Village. Obviously, you must choose Valeria over Kasumi, too.
4) After arriving to Gregminster for the first time, Riou can already recruit Lorelai if he wants to. However, it is advisable to recruit her after defeating Luca Blight so that Riou can bring Killey to Gregminster and unlock their hidden scene.
Fun Facts:
1) In Freed and Yoshino's special scene at the Dunan Castle's inn, Yoshino mentioned that she wanted to have a son who will become a great person like Freed. Although they indeed have a child after the war, yet it is a girl. Her name is Sanae Yamamoto and she was one of the Fire Bringers who fought alongside the Flame Champion during the Second Fire Bringer War.
2) Flik's former lover, Odessa Silverburg, was the first leader of the Liberation Army during Toran Liberation War. She died shortly after she met Tir McDohl, the young man who was burdened to take her role after her death. Odessa is the sister of Mathiu Silverburg, the mentor of both Apple and Shu in strategy. Leon Silverburg who is also Highland's head-strategist is their uncle.
3) Back in the Queendom of Falena, Killey and Lorelai had some encounters during their adventures to seek the treasure left by the mysterious race of Sindars. Lorelai is a tomb raider while Killey tried to protect the treasure of Sindars away from the hands of treasure hunters and adventurers like her and Alex.
Note:
For the purpose of this guide, Riou is the given name for the main protagonist of the game. While Allied is the given name for the Army and Dunan for the castle.
Some translation errors and misspelled words were edited to avoid confusion. Names of characters are also arranged alphabetically for easy browsing and quick search.

I - Recruiting Mondo and Sasuke with Kasumi
Riou, Kasumi and party wandered around the forest path of Banner that leads to Toran Republic. When they ended up in a hidden village of ninjas.
Sasuke: A SPY!
In a blink of an eye, the ninjas sent Riou's entourage to Rokkaku Hamlet's chief, Hanzo.
Hanzo: "Do you expect me to believe you just accidentally stumbled across a town as well hidden as Rokkaku?"
Kasumi showed herself to everyone.
Kasumi: "I've missed you, Lord Hanzo."
Sasuke was surprised to see the woman he longs to see for quite sometime.
Sasuke: "Kasumi!"
Hanzo: "Aren't you supposed to be with President Lepant?"
Kasumi: "I was, Lord Hanzo. President Lepant ordered me to assist Lord Riou, leader of the Allied Army."
Hanzo: "Hmm... A wise decision, as I'd expect from President Lepant."
Kasumi: "I agree. But the Highland Kingdom is a powerful enemy. Please. Could you lend us Rokkaku's assitance as well?"
Hanzo: "............... Kasumi, are you here on Lepant's order?"
Kasumi: "No, sir... But I firmly believe that helping the Allied Army will aid Rokkaku as well. This is my decision as Vice-Chancellor of Rokkaku. Please, Lord Hanzo."
Hanzo: "Hmmm..............."
Hanzo looks closely on Riou and observed the young leader of the Allied Army with admiration.
Hanzo: "That glitter in his eyes... It brings back memories."
Hanzo turned his attention to his close retainers...
Hanzo: "Mondo, Sasuke, I want you to go with Kasumi, and join Lord Riou's fight."
Mondo: "Yes sir. Hey, bet you're happy to be back with Kasumi again, eh, Sasuke?"
Sasuke was surprised with what Mondo hinted to everyone.
Sasuke: "What... What's that supposed to mean? I'm not... Shut up!"
Sasuke vanished in a blink.
Mondo: "Heh heh. Did you see him blush?"
Kasumi: "Um... Did I do something to upset him?"
Mondo: "Don't worry about it, Kasumi. He's always like this. I'm sure he's around here somewhere."
Hanzo: "I'm counting on you, Mondo."
Mondo: "I won't let you down, sir. Shall I accompany you now, Lord Riou?"
Riou:
A: "Yes."
B: "No."
I.A - Yes.
Mondo: "Thanks for having me."
Mondo joined the entourage.
I.B - No.
Mondo: "Then I'll go ahead to Dunan Castle."
Mondo left in a snap.
I.C - Sasuke Joined Up
In the center of Rokkaku Hamlet, Sasuke is seen standing next to the entrance of the trading post. Riou and Kasumi approached him.
Sasuke: "Wh, what...."
Kasumi: "What's wrong, Sasuke? If there's something you don't like, tell me and I'll try to be more careful..."
Sasuke turned his back on her.
Sasuke: "It's... umm, I told you! It's got nothing to do with you, Kasumi!!"
Kasumi: "Then what are you so angry about?"
He faced her once again.
Sasuke: "Well... that's... y' see.... Okay! Fine! I'll go with you!! But only 'cause Hanzo ordered it! It's nothin' to do with you! I mean, err..... umm...."
Kasumi: "Thank you, Sasuke."
Sasuke: "I'm just gonna go ahead to Dunan Castle, I guess."
Sasuke left in a blink.
Kasumi: "There's no rush..."
II - Flik and Nina (Part 1)
On the night before a heavy battle, the moon is shining brightly in the night sky, Riou wandered around Dunan Castle's rooftop when he incidentally found himself eavesdropping. Flik is reminiscing about something when Nina followed him. She finally get a chance to be alone with him.

Nina: "Sir Flik?"
Flik: "What?"
Nina: "What are you doing? Everyone is either asleep or passed out. Aren't you going to sleep, Sir Flik?"
Flik: "I guess so. It always happens on the night before.... Memories of past battles come rushing to my mind..."
Nina boldly came closer to him.
Nina: "I'm jealous.... I don't have any. I've only lived 16 years and I've been a kid for at least 6 of 'em. Could you.... could you tell me what you were thinking about?"
Flik: "Different things."
Nina: "Different things? Like your home? Or maybe about the future? Or about the battle tomorrow?"
Flik: "None of your business, brat."
Nina's charade of displaying a calm, mature and sweet demeanor suddenly turned into a raging outburst. Thus, unveiling the spoiled and snotty brat's true colors.
Nina: "Th, that's terrible!!! Oh I get it.... Were you... were you thinking about a lost love?"
Flik turned his attention away from her. Hoping to avoid any more questions about his painful past.
Flik: "................"
Flik is about to go downstairs when...
Nina: "Hey, wait a minute."
Flik: "Get to sleep soon. It's not good to stay up all night."
Flik went downstairs. Leaving the young lady behind.
Nina: "You're just trying to put on a brave face. But... that's what I admire so much about you."
III - Flik and Nina (Part 2)
The night before a major battle of retaking Greenhill, Riou decided to take a breather on the castle's rooftop. Unknowingly, he once again found himself eavesdropping on the private talk of Flik and Nina.
Nina: "I knew it. You came here again."
Flik: "I guess so......."
Nina: "What were you thinking about?"
Flik: "I told you before. It's none of your business."
Nina: "I was thinking about 'Odessa'.... She was an old love of mine..."
Flik was surprised to hear something about his past from Nina. Who could have told her about this piece of info? He is not quite sure, but there could be only one that he can think of-- Viktor.
Flik: ".....!!!!!!! Hmph.... Mr. Talkative, huh...."
Nina: "You still can't forget her?"
Flik: "It's not that......"
Nina: "Then what.....?"
Flik: "............... Odessa wasn't just my lover.... To me...... She was the only person I ever really looked up to..... She taught me..... a whole new way of thinking, a whole new way of looking at life. She's the reason I became the man I am today. So it's not that I can't forget her..... I don't want to forget her."
Nina: "Even though you'll never see her again? Never meet her and hold her hand again?"
Flik: "Learn some manners!!! It's none of your business..."
Nina: "Why? I say it is my business."
Flik: "None of your business, brat."
Nina got infuriated and burst her heart out.
Nina: "You've got some nerve!!! Brat! Brat!! Brat, you say!!! I spent all this time thinking about your happiness!!! What good will it do you!!!! Thinking about this dead person all the time!!!! You'll make yourself sick with grief!!!!"
Flik: "SHUT UP!!!!!!"
Nina stepped back in surprise and don't know what to say next after Flik's reaction.
Nina: "Wh......... I.... I'm sorry............."
Flik: "...............I'm sorry I yelled..... But I... I was thinking about how stupid I was.... not to appreciate what I had. I was just a young fool..."
Nina drew closer to him with modesty.
Nina: "Please forgive me....."
Flik: "..............."
Flik was about to leave when...
Nina: "I.... ummm.... err....."
Flik: "What?"
Nina: "Is it okay.... if I wait with you? I'll just wait, okay......?"
Flik: "Do what you want...... Time... it changes people's hearts. It'll change yours too. You'll understand someday."
Nina: "You're wrong! My feelings about you will never change!!!"
Flik: "Really....... We'll see."
Flik left Nina alone.
Nina: "Time changes people's hearts, huh....."
IV - Recruiting Anita with Valeria
Riou's entourage went inside the inn at Banner Village. Among them is Valeria who immediately noticed a familiar face whom she never seen for a long time.
Valeria: "Ha, you call sitting here drinking a journey of training?"
Anita: "Va... Valeria!! What are you doing here? I thought you were working for the Toran Republic?"
Valeria: "Now I'm helping out Riou of the Allied Army."
Anita: "Hmmm......... Well, unlike you, I'm not just worried about sword training. I'm too busy enjoying life. So, have you finally found yourself a man?"
Valeria: "Wh... What!? Don't be ridiculous......."
Anita: "Yeah, I guess you're right. The way you look, you're probably still single, huh?"
Valeria: "If you'll let me talk......"
Riou:
A: "Please..... don't fight...."
B: "Ummm... wanna join us....."

Anita: "What are you talking about? Except for some daydreaming when you were a kid, you've never even had a boyfriend."
Valeria: "Well maybe so, but at least I won't take up with just any old man I meet."
Anita: "Who says I'll take up with any man!!!"
III.A.3 - Please..... don't fight....
Anita: "Quiet, you. I'm in the middle of something right now."
Valeria: "Oh, can't take it, huh. Old age, I guess. That's scary."
Anita: "What........."
A long conversation took place.
Anita: "..........Ha ha ha. So you were just......"
Valeria: "Ha ha..... so were you... ha ha."
Anita: "Whew.... I guess we'll call it a tie..."
Valeria: "As always......."
III.B - Ummm... wanna join us.....
Anita: "What? Join up, you said?"
Valeria: "This is Lord Riou, leader of the Allied Army. What about it, Anita. There's no use sticking around here. Why don't you come with us?"
Anita: "............ I guess you're right."
Riou: "You're not going to be nasty to each other?"
Anita: "It's okay. I think she's lonely without me around."
Valeria: "Humph.... I just need someone to practice against."
Anita: "Hoo... hoo... HOOHAHAHAHA!!!"
Valeria: "What the..."
Anita: "Okay, I'll go on ahead. See ya later, Riou. If you get lonely, come visit me."
Anita left them.
Valeria: "That girl......."
