Answer: The strongest weapon that Yangus can wield is the Flail of Destruction. In just a single swoop it can cause tremendous damage not only to one but all enemies.
2) Do other characters can wield any of Yangus' weapon?
Answer: No. All weapons that Yangus can equip are exclusively for him. He is the only character who does not share weapon types with other characters.
Trivia:
1) The ultimate boss of the game, Rhapthorne, also made a cameo in Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. He is the Legacy boss that can be unlocked after completing Quest #179.
