1) Where can I find the Benevodon of Shadow?

Answer: For some reason, Zable Fahr, the benevodon of shadow is not present in Heroes of Mana.


2) How do I unleash a Mana Spirit's power?

Answer: First, you must select the character. Then click the Magic icon on the upper right corner of the battle screen whenever it is available. The Magic icon is the oval icon below the character's status bar.


Trivia:

1) In the North American version of Secret of Mana, Jinn was given the name, Sylphid.


2) Sylphid is obviously a diminuative term of sylph. A wind spirit that is always depicted as fairies or pixies.


3) The term Jinn is actually taken from middle-eastern folklore. It is another term for genie. Perhaps the most famous example is the "genie of the lamp" mentioned in Aladdin from the Arabian Nights' tales.

1) Dryad
The spirit of wood. As a symbol of vitality, Dryad holds the power of strong trees within, but her personality is quite timid.

Skill: Sleep Flower
Showers flower petals on one enemy unit inside a 4-square radius. 10% chance of putting the enemy to sleep.

2) Gnome
The spirit of earth. An aloof old man fond of his naps, Gnome has the power to shake the earth. Even rocks and stones obey his command.

Skill: Diamond Shards
Attacks one enemy unit inside a 4-square radius by shooting diamond shards. 10% chance of pertrifying the enemy.

Benevodon: Land Umber


3) Jinn
The spirit of wind. Just like the wind he controls, Jinn is a breezy and mischievous boy who also controls clouds and lightning.

Skill: Thunderstorm
Attacks all enemy units inside a 3-square radius with multiple lightning bolts. 10% chance of paralyzing the enemy.

Benevodon: Dangaard


4) Luna
The spirit of the moon. Luna captivates the hearts of those who look at the beautiful yet mysterious moonlight. Her heart overflows with kindness.

Skill: Lunatique
Uses the moon to inflict illusion on one enemy unit inside a 4-square radius. 10% chance of confusing the enemy.

Benevodon: Dolan


5) Salamander
The spirit of fire. A hot-blooded firecracker, Salamander has the power to throw fireballs. He can even cause lava to erupt!

Skill: Explode
Attacks all enemy units inside a 3-square radius with a powerful explosion. 10% chance of burning the enemy.

Benevodon: Xan Bie


6) Shade
The spirit of shadow. An intimidating fellow, Shade has the uncanny power to fill those who come near him with dread.

Skill: Dark Force
Attacks all enemy units inside a 3-square radius with numerous dark blades. 10% chance of blinding the enemy.

Benevodon: Zable Fahr


7) Undine
The spirit of water. Undine gathers cold air and makes icy rain. Whenever she sees people in dire straits, she turns on her own waterworks.

Skill: Spike Freeze
Attacks all enemy units inside a 3-square radius with giant spikes of ice. 10% chance of freezing the enemy.

Benevodon: Fiegmund


8) Wisp
The spirit of light. Wisp's light shines dazzingly bright to ward off even the most wicked of evils. She doesn't sweat the small stuff.

Skill: Holy Saber
Magic is cast on the wielder. Attack power is raised by 5 for 60 seconds. 10% chance of charming the enemy.

Benevodon: Lightgazer
