Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
1) What are battle quotes?
These are battle cries, compliments, ingratitudes, taunts, victory cheers and jeers during and after a fight. Quotes by characters before being knocked out and enemies' death quotes are also included.
2) Do all Starbearers have their own battle quotes?
No. Wahie and Monoa have no active participation in battles. They're unique jobs as matchmakers for quests excluded them to partake in the battlefields. Sotah and Tongatihi, on the other hand, do participate in battles but they never utter a single word.
3) What about support characters, do they have battle quotes just like the active fighters?
Yes, but they have fewer battle quotes than active fighters.
4) How do I trigger battle cries?
They usually appear in random during battles, specifically when a character is about to strike an opponent. You can trigger it too by unleashing cooperative attacks.
5) How do I trigger appreciations or ungrateful quotes?
Try to use medicines or any usuable items to prospect character and he'll give you a compliment or an insult in return.
6) How do I trigger Fury?
There are several ways to do this, but the best way is to use Roasted Corn which can be bought from Wustum. Putting Ramin as support may randomly triggers Fury to some of your party members, too.
Another one requires a sacrifice from your party. When you bring two or more allies that have close ties (e.g. childhood friends Marica, Jale and Liu) and one of them becomes unconscious, this will most likely cause Fury to the remaining characters.
Using the Mark of the Stars like Ire can also help. This, however, is limited to certain characters only and can be casted on self but not to allies. Other Mark of the Stars that can cause Fury are Impromptu, Burning Spirit and Waking.

7) How do I trigger Alert?
Alert, just like Fury, can also be triggered by either using an item or Marks of the Star.
The Salted Guts is the only item that can cause Alert but it's the most convenient way to do the trick. It will be available from Wustum's kitchen after completing the leader quest, "Something I Want to Check."
Mark of the Stars like Mind's Eye can actively cause Alert, while Enlightenment passively works once in a while. This powers are only limited to few characters who have such innate Mark of the Stars.
8) Who is the Starbearer with the least number of words uttered?
One of the most mysterious Starbearer best known for his taciturnity-- the Tensyo Star Belemuel.
9) Who has the most peculiar battle quotes?
The character with the most peculiar battle quotes is no other than the sleepyhead, Nomno. All he ever says is "Zzzzzzzz." He is always seen sleeping even in the midst of battle. Nonetheless, he fights and talks even if his eyes are half-shut.
Tips and Tricks
1) There is only one chance that you can see all of Atrie's battle quotes. This is when you accept "Something for You" Leader Quest. Aside from the battle quotes, this is also the only time when you can see Hero and Atrie's coop-attack-- the Double Leader.
2) To see the character's battle quotes for Fury and Alert, let the characters use Roasted Corn or Salted Guts respectively. These items are affordable and extremely useful especially on boss fights or against any high-level monster.
Note:
The roster of characters are in alphabetical order and arranged as Starbearers (Fighters and Supports), Special Characters and Enemies. The battle quotes, on the other hand, are arranged according to their classifications.
The word "Army" enclosed with brackets ([Army]) constitutes the name of the Company. The word "heart" enclosed with brackets ([heart]) denotes love or deep admiration. While the word "music" enclosed with brackets ([music]) means the person is singing.
The main protagonist is named "Hero" for the purpose of this guide.
